Adventure-seeking Digital Marketer, with a BIG passion for small business
I kind of fell into marketing. From selling a bunch of Groovy Chic cr*p I found in my bedroom in drive sales age 8, to opening my first shop at age 17, I’ve always loved that buzz of business. But I soon learnt, you’re not gonna get many bees flocking to your nectar, if you don’t let them know how sweet it tastes! Ok, dodgy botany metaphors aside, I quickly found out customers don’t just fall from thin air. I had to find them. So, I turned tentatively to social media, unsure if it was for me. But I found, like with many relationships, when I showed up for it (consistently), it showed up for me in return. Long story short, within two years I’d fallen deep for this social media thing. And in the process, I’d turned a failing market stall into a 6 figure high street interiors shop, with a band of loyal supporters.

I’ve always been a bit different. I left school at 16, opened a shop, skipped university, and spent the majority of my 20s travelling the world, running businesses, and seeking out adventure. During that time I spent over 10 years building brands across multiple industries – from commercial and residential design and build, to SaaS start-ups and international marketing agencies.
But my favourite work has always been supporting the small and growing businesses. The founders with a real passion for their work, and the grit (that I’ve experienced plenty of myself) that you need to succeed. So yes, when I’m not falling off a surf board, getting tied to the top of a moving aeroplane or exploring the food markets of Delhi, you’ll find me curled up with my laptop working on a new strategy, or fangirling over local businesses.
Building a business is an absolute rollercoaster. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. My wish? I want every business owner to discover that – whatever the product, whatever the industry – it’s easy-peasy for them to reach their dream customers, once they’ve got all the tools at their disposal to work social magic.
